Janet has an optimistic expression delineate the idea, embarked on a series of projects that scrutinized society, mass culture and the art.
“My work is expressionism, abstraction and some figurative drawing based on the classical range of subject; landscape, interiors, and figures that surround our lives and make us feel something. My dominant themes concern the inner power of life and the human being, the interaction with others and the beauty of nature with a positive vision of life. I make an emphasis on the relationships and balance of colour, especially mindful of rhythms and equilibrium.
My art work is brightly coloured, the work uses the interplay of layered geometric shapes, with drawn elements. There is rhythm, harmony and tonal layers. The tension between traces, colours, shapes and lines provides equilibrium. Sometimes the connections are forced between irrational parts of the work through colour and texture. I try to make connections between the complexity of life, suffering and hope through the language of art.”
